Today was amazing! Jen and I took our whale watching tour from a company on Granville Island. The boat went all the way down to Victoria and we found orcas! Oh, but not just a small group. Oh no. Didn't see any in Telegraph Cove (which is very unusual, they're usually spotted daily in October, but the NRs have been unseen for two weeks) and now me and Jen's whale watching today will likely be postponed due to bad weather. Boo. ;_;

I leave tomorrow for my Telegraph Cove adventure! Unfortunately orcas have not been sighted much in the area recently, so I'm trying very hard to convince myself I won't see any to avoid disappointment. But humpbacks, Dall's porpoises and lags have been sighted frequently ( Read more... )

Hehe, things keep getting better and better! The Thursday following my Telegraph Cove trip, Jen and I will be going whale watching from Granville Island to see the Southern Residents. ^^!!

Wow, this seems to be my year of traveling. At work I have been guaranteed the whale watching trip in Telegraph Cove from raising $8,000+ for the marine mammal rescue centre.
